It was my first time seeing a large pumpkin up close.
Roland is so much cooler than I expected, and I expected plenty of cool.
As soon as you enter the small village, you can’t help but notice the abundance of orange. I think more people would have voted for the pumpkin in the contest. (Photos #1-3!)
Moving down the road, we saw a walking path. Throughout the town, there are several “Millenium Pathway” signs that show you areas where prominent buildings used to be. (Photo #4!) I took a few photos of the signs to show you what they’re like. It’s a very cool idea. (Photos #5-7!)
Moving on to the Memorial Garden, I took a few photos. Such a beautiful space. I was happy we arrived during a nice day that allowed us to enjoy the spot. (Photos #8-11!)
I continue to be inspired by monuments, and I will always share these when I see them. I hope you don’t mind. There is something about reading those names that always gets to me. (Photos #12-16!)
Roland is known for 4-H so I had to grab these photos too. :)(Photos #17-19!)
All in all, it was a good trip. I enjoyed my time in Roland and I was happy to see the Great Pumpkin. Hey, Linus. I found it. (Photo #20!)
